General Description
Dual Volatge (110V/220V) operation
The PT8A320P adopts counter to turn off power
• Auto temperature control with NTC
automatically. It produces different frequency pulses.
• Multi mode LED indicator
This device provides three functions:
• Direct drive SC
- Reset state: All input terminals are inactive and
• Low cost 8-pin DIP package
output terminals output 0V.
Applications
- Timer: Timer begins working after get a starting
signal.
• Hair Curler
- Controllable signal output: According to NTC and
LEVEL signal input, GATE and LED terminal will
output pulse with different frequency or DC signal.

Functional Description
· Controllable signal output
Under normal power supply, when no signal fed in PB, PB is in
the state of positive pulse with fCLK/4 frequency. After PB was
fed high voltage for lasting time at least 12´(1/fCLK), the device
goes into working state. See following table.
· Reset state
After or during reset, all input terminals are inactive and output
terminals output 0V.
Three cases will make the device into the state:
- Power on.
- Timer overflow.
- PB was set low lasting at least 12 clock cycles.
· Timer
Timer part counts CLK signal. When the counting number
reaches about 216000, the device will be set into reset state.
For example, in case of 60Hz CLK signal, the working time is
about 1 hour; and 1.2 hour for 50Hz.
