C D 90P1 LISTED E B A Description: The17250 and 17252 Foot Grounders provide a continuous ground path between an operator and a properly grounded ESD protected floor. These foot grounders are designed for use on standard shoes. They can be easily adjusted to fit the individual wearer. These foot grounders are made from non-marring three layer yellow reversible static dissipative rubber with a textured grain black conductive inner layer. This unit includes a blue tab with carbon suffused fibers and a hook and loop fastening system for quick and easy fastening and removal. Full elastic strap provides maximum "flexing" comfort. The 17252 is UL listed. The product has been tested to ESD STM 97.2 - Floor Materials and Footwear VoltageMeasurement in Combination with a Person. It is a suitable ESD footwear component in Flooring - Footwear System when used as the primary grounding method (<3.5 x 107 ohms per ESD STM 97.1 Floor Materials and Footwear-Resistance Measurement in Combination with a Person.) Key: A. 0.060 inch thick non-marring, solid, three layer, rubber material. Three layers consist of a yellow dissipative outer layer with a textured grain, black conductive inner layer, and a yellow dissipative outer layer. Will not mar floors or shoes with black marks. B. Nylon, blue ribbon, with 8 conductive threads, reversible, may be positioned on either side of foot. C. 3/4 inch wide blue non-elastic hook material. D. 3/4 inch wide blue stretch loop material, for quick and easy attachment to foot. E. Patented* one megohm flat “flex” resistor (17252 only) listed for safety and date coded. Tab to cup resistance: 10E6 - 10E7 Ohms @ 100 volts ITEM # Note: Two heel straps are recommended for reliable grounding and ESD protection, providing ground when one foot is off the floor. Operator is grounded when foot is in contact with grounded dissipative or conductive flooring. Desco recommends the use of foot ground tester item No. 19252 or 19253.
