System Sensor Selectable Output Wall Speaker/Strobe SP2R1224MC SP2W1224MC Description The System Sensor SpectrAlert™ Series selectable output speaker/strobes offer enhanced features that include an extensive range of available candela options. These speaker/strobes have the capacity to identify and selfadjust for either 12 or 24 volt DC operation. In addition, the speaker/strobes use the enhanced SP200 speaker technology to provide high quality fidelity sound. The selectable output strobe speaker/strobe includes average current draws that are not only lower than conventional fixed-candela SpectrAlert products, but also lower than similar selectable candela products. The SpectrAlert speaker technology provides a wide range of frequency response and low harmonic distortion that amplifies an accurate and audible broadcast of evacuation messages. The selectable output strobes operate on either 12 or 24V DC, with no setting required. The device automatically identifies and self-adjusts to the correct current. The speaker voltage (either 25.0 or 70.7) and power tap settings (1/4, 1/2, 1, or 2 watt) are field-selectable. For example, the speaker/ strobes can be mounted on a 4” x 4” x 21/8” backbox. This backbox does not require an extension ring. Another installation option provides a field-reversible strobe that may be either left- or right-mounted to avoid potential obstructions.
