Introduction to IBIS Power Birds
Simultaneous switching noise (SSN) is a major cause of power supply
noise, which can degrade signal integrity.
In the past, SSN simulation required a detailed device level simulation
and it usually took a long time to simulate.
IBIS model is a behavior model and can reduce significantly the
simulation time. However, it did not previously include the power
supply details needed for SSN simulation.
The IBIS Power Birds do address this issue.

IBIS Power Birds in ADS 2013.06
Bird 95.6 - Power Integrity Analysis using IBIS
Keyword [Composite Current]
Describes the current waveforms from the power supply
Bird 98.3 - Gate Modulation Effect (table format)
Keywords [ISSO PU] and [ISSO PD]
ISSO – Simultaneous Switching Output Current
Defines the effective current of the pullup/pulldown devices as a
function of the voltage on the pullup/pulldown reference nodes
Bird 141 - [Composite Current] Clarifications
Keyword [Composite Current]
Removes the requirement that the [Composite Current] table must be
time-correlated with the V-T data
