DESCRIPTION
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
The IS31AP4832 is an audio amplifier integrated
circuit capable of delivering 2.5W (Typ.) stereo audio
with tone (bass and treble) control into a 4Ω speaker or
1.7W (Typ.) into an 8Ω speaker with less than 10%
THD from a 5V supply. The IS31AP4832 uses a

flexible I C control interface to enable application
features such as 3D enhancement and 13 steps tone
control for headphone and stereo outputs.





the board will be damaged.

PROCEDURE
The IS31AP4832 demo board is fully assembled and
tested. Follow the steps listed below to verify board
operation.
Caution: Do not turn on the power supply until all connections
are completed.

Connect a pair of 8Ω (or 4Ω) speakers across the
(OUTR+, OUTR-) terminals and (OUTL+, OUTL-)
terminals. Or connect speakers to the RCA
connectors (OUTR, OUTL) or connect a
headphone (32Ω) to the connector (HP Jack).
Connect the ground terminal of the 5V DC power
supply to the GND and the positive terminal to
VCC. Or connect DC power to connector (DC IN).
Connect the audio source to the inputs (INR, INL),
or connect the audio source to the stereo audio
connector AUDIO IN (3.5mm).
Turn on the power supply.
Turn on the audio sources.

4) K3 and K4 Treble Gain. Pressing K3 decreases
gain while pressing K4 increases gain. The
7-segment display above K3 and K4 will show the
gain value. D4 is used to display negative gain.
The treble gain can be adjust from -12dB to +12dB.
Power on default is 0dB.
OPERATION DESCRIPTION
The IS31AP4832 evaluation board has six keys (K1-6)
for controlling the functionality of the IS31AP4832.
1) K6 Board Enable. Pressing this key when the
board is powered will toggle ON/OFF the board
function. D2 will light to show board is active.
2) K5 3D Enable. Pressing this key when the board
is powered will toggle EN/DISABLE of the 3D
function. D1 will light to show 3D function is
enabled.
3) K1 and K2 Bass Gain. Pressing K1 decreases
gain while pressing K2 increases gain. The
7-segment display above K1 and K2 will show the
gain value. D3 will light for a negative gain. The
bass gain can be adjust from -12dB to +12dB.
Power on default is 0dB.
Note: The IS31AP4832 solely controls the Audio function on the
evaluation board.
