MCEWizard – Parameter Calculation
• Calculates digital control parameters from motor and control system specifications
– Screen input such as motor resistance in ohms, rated current in amps, PWM
frequency in kHz etc.
• Text and pictures to explain input specifications
– Output text file is a list of digital control parameter names and values
MCEDesigner – Drive Testing & Parameter Tuning
• Download data to MCE registers
– Download full set of parameters from a data file
– Start and Stop the motor
– Edit data in individual control registers
– Create macro functions
• for example can create velocity profiles
• Downloads 8051 and MCE code to EEPROM or Flash for permanent storage
– can also download MCE code to RAM for testing
• Collects trace data while running the MCE and displays it graphically
– Plot current, angle or velocity while running
