DESCRIPTION
The 66136 series optical detector contains an integrated optical schmitt-trigger IC with a TTL buffer. The detector has an 18
mil X 18 mil active area coupled to a trans-impedance amplifier which converts the light detected light to a voltage level. This
voltage is compared to an internal threshold and switches when it is greater than the internal reference. The comparator has
built in hysterisis to provide a clean “snap acting” output even for slowly changing light levels. An internal buffer stage
provides “light operated” rise and fall times typically in the 6-10 ns range allowing easy logic interface. The receiver is
designed to operate from a single 5 volt supply and is directly compatible with TTL logic. This receiver may be screened to
MIL-PRF19500 requirements.
