STROBE FLASH LIGHT SOURCES
LIGHT
SOURCE L11729/L11730 SERIES
Compact and lightweight stobe light sources
OVERVIEW
The new LF2 flash light source eliminates the CPU and
keeps just the essential functions! This makes it even more
light and compact than the older LF1 while still giving the
same performance. The LF2 basically operates by external
control and is available with a 15 W or 40 W lamp that can
be selected to meet your application.
The LF2 light source is so versatile that it can output different types of light by selecting optical components such as
light guides to match the type of light you need. The LF2
emits high intensity light over a brief period in microseconds and so is ideal as a strobe light source.

NOTE: ADelay time is 70 µs maximum when the lamp flashes at the rising edge of TTL signals.
BMeasured with lamp supply voltage of 800 V, internal capacitor of 4 µF, and emission frequency of 30 Hz (at 40 W input).
CFlash count at which the light output intensity is still more than 60 % of the initial light output intensity and also the incidence of misflash is 1/10000 or less.

*Set the repetition rate so that the lamp input power is 40 W or less.
E: maximum lamp input energy (J), C: internal capacitor (F), V: lamp supply voltage (V dc), f: repetition rate (Hz), W: Maximum lamp input power (W)
Calculation example
[Lamp supply voltage: 800 V, Internal capacitor: 4 µF, Repetition rate: 30 Hz]
1/2×4 µF×8002 V=1.28 J
1.28 J×30 Hz=38.4 W
Maximum lamp input energy (per flash): 1.28 J
Maximum lamp input power: 38.4 W
NOTE: ASetting the repetition rate outside the conditions shown above may cause deterioration of the stability and a misflash.
Please consult us if you need a higher repetition rate than shown above.
BDo not set the value exceeding the maximum lamp input energy (per flash) and the maximum lamp input power, as it may cause
deterioration and damage to the lamp.
