FieldPoint™ Operating Instructions
cFP-PDB-100
Compact FieldPoint Fused Power Distribution Block
The cFP-PDB-100 is a fused power distribution block for
FieldPoint and Compact FieldPoint. It provides an easy-to-use,
reliable way to distribute power from a single 10–30 VDC power
supply, such as the NI PS-5, to the FieldPoint bank and to sensors
and other devices. The cFP-PDB-100 is ideal for applications that
do not require module-to-module isolation.
Connect the positive lead of a 10–30 VDC power supply to one
of the V terminals and the negative lead to one of the C terminals.
If the total current can exceed 15 A, connect both V and both
C terminals.
The following table lists the maximum current levels at each of five
maximum operating temperatures.

The block is shipped with 2 A, 32 V blade fuses on each of the
output terminals. You can replace them with fuses up to 5 A if
necessary.
Refer to Figure 1 for the locations of the V and C terminals and
other parts of the cFP-PDB-100.

Power Supplies
If you have two PS-5 power supplies, you can connect both power
supplies to the cFP-PDB-100 to provide redundancy or to supply
up to 10 A of power to the FieldPoint bank. Refer to the manual
shipped with the NI PS-5 for more information.
