Measurement Flowchart-US EPA 3052
1. Weigh approximately testing sample.
2. Add the mixture of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid into a digestion vessel until all mixture reacted with
sample for a while.
3. Cover and tight the digestion vessel.
4. Place the sample into the microwave system until sample was totally digested.
5. After digestion, cooling the extract at room temperature then dilute cautiously with distilled water.
6. Filtrate the digestive solution.
7. Add distilled water into volumetric flask to make-up the line of volumetric flask.
8. Analyzed by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES).
Measurement Flowchart- IEC 62321 Method for determination of Cr (Vl) in
polymers and electronics by colorimetric method
1. Add digestion solution, MgCl2, and Phosphate buffer solution into each of sample.
2. Stir and heat the samples on the hot plate.
3. Cooling the sample, and then filter the sample by 0.45um membrane filter.
4. Add Nitric Acid solution, Diphenylcarbazide solution and Sulfuric Acid solution.
5. Stand the sample 5~10 mins for full color development.
6. Analyzed the sample by UV-VIS Photometer at 540nm wavelength.

Measurement Flowchart - IEC 62321 Method for determination of PBBs and
PBDEs in polymers
1. Weigh appropriately sample to thimble filter tube.
2. Add organic solvent to each sample and mix it.
3. Extraction all sample by Automated Soxhlet equipment for 2 hrs.
4. After cooling, concentrated sample by rotary evaporation with Nitrogen gas (N2) until dryness.
5. Re-dissolve the extract with organic solvent.
6. Filter the extract through 0.45 µm Teflon membrane and collect filtrate in a 5 mL volumetric flask.
7. Make to volume with organic solvent and add PCB-206 as internal standard.
8. Transfer sample of 2 mL into sample vial and analyzed by GC-MS.
