Technical Considerations
CE1.2
The product was submitted and evaluated for use at the maximum ambient temperature (Tma)
permitted by the manufacturer’s specification of: 75 degree C
CE2.0
The equipment employs Functional Insulation per 2.6.2. As anticipated by the NOTE for 1.2.4, it
does not conformed to one of the common Classes (I, II, or III). At least double insulation circuit
is provided before the unit of input circuits otherwise the additional tests should be considered. --
CE2.1
The product was investigated to the following additional standards: UL 60601-1, 1st Edition,
2006-04-26 (includes National Differences for USA), CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 601.1-M90 (R2006)
(includes National Differences for Canada) --
CE2.2
The product was not investigated to the following standards or clauses according to UL 60601-1,
1st Edition, 2006-04-26, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 601.1-M90 (R2006): Clause 36, Electromagnetic
Compatibility (IEC 601-1-2), Clause 48, Biocompatibility (ISO 10993-1), Clause 52.1,

When installed in an end-product, consideration must be given to the following:
CF1.3
The end-product Electric Strength Test is to be based upon a maximum working voltage of:
Input-Output: 106 Vrms, 220 Vpk
CF1.5
The following secondary output circuits are SELV: All outputs
CF1.7
The following secondary output circuits are at non-hazardous energy levels: All outputs
CF1.11
The power supply terminals and/or connectors are: Suitable for factory wiring only
CF1.13
The investigated Pollution Degree is: 2
CF1.19
The following end-product enclosures are required: Fire, Electrical, Mechanical
CF2.0
The Unit is considered as functional insulation and intended to be installed in isolated secondary
circuit which is seperated from primary circuit by Reinforce or Double insulation; additional tests
of Humidity Test should be considered in the end product.
CF2.1
Abnormal/Component Failure Tests were conducted with an external fuse (T2.0A for x = 1002,
1003, 1006, 1007, 1008; T1.0A for x = 1012, 1013, 1017, 1016, 1018; T0.5A for x = 1022, 1023,
1026, 1027, 1028, 1032, 1033, 1036, 1037, 1038). Repeated tests in the end-use appliance shall
be considered for installing different rated protective devices.
CF2.2
Special spacing consideration should be given to the end-use product as the spacings between
the unit and mounting surface have not been evaluated.
CF2.3
The DC/DC Converter with potting compound has been tested according to sub-clause 5.2.2.
The actual test voltage was DC 5600 V by manufacturer's request.
CF2.4
The DC/DC Converter shall be installed in compliance with the enclosure, mounting, spacing,
casualty, markings and sepregation requirements of the end use application.
