In salt water spray tests conducted, competitor thermal printheads experienced damage and failure after only 24 hours. In
contrast, ROHM's new thin-film products exhibited no degradation, even after 100 hours.

Samples were placed in a test apparatus maintained at a constant temperature and a 5% sodium chloride solution was sprayed evenly in order to
evaluate the anti-corrosion qualities.
