7.Precautions
① Storage conditions
Please follow the conditions below.
・ Keep in a coot and dry place, away from direct sunlight.
・ Avoid corrosive environment because it may affect bad electrical contact by degeneration of
connector parts surface.
② Usage conditions
This product is not designed for the use under any of the following conditions.
Please confirm performance and reliability well enough if you use under any of the following
conditions;
・ In a place with a lot of moisture, dew condensation, briny air, and corrosive gas.
(Cl, H2S, NH3, SO2, NOX, etc.)
・ Under the direct sunlight, outdoor exposure, and in dusty place.
・ In water, oil, medical fluid, and organic solvent.
Please do not use component parts like rubber which may contain sulfur
(gasket packing, adhesive material etc.).
③Heat radiation and Installation
LED device generally involves rise in elevated temperature on its simple body driving. And in case
fitting method between device and heat sink is inadequacy, device defect may happen.
For instance connector peeling or non-lighting due to overheat damage.
And also its peripheral components failure may happen. Therefore overall heat management
must be carefully considered and designed.
Please abide the below described and mentioned method on your handling.
・ Fitting onto a heat sink should be with the use of M3 screw.
・ Flat-washer or Spring-washer should be applied between each screw and device.
・ Drive a screw in by turns as following description from ① to ④.
At first, fitting position should be fixed with tentative fix, and after that from the position
② ~ ④ as well. The loading of screw onto the heat sink must be less than 85N cm.

Do not touch resin and emitting area on the surface of LED.
Non light emitting may occur due to damage of resin or die wire disconnection of LED by its outer
stress. For mounting, please handle by outside of area and avoid touching resin part as following
description. Overstress onto the connector post would cause its peeling failure.
Therefore permissible stress must be less than 20N/mm2.
Particular attention should be given to in use tweezers or some of like a keen tool.
The outer edges of the substrate may be uneven in some cases.
Please avoid choosing these areas as fixing point while designing for installation.
In case of using heat radiation sheet or adhesive, light reflection or absorption of these materials may
influence the output of LED device. Especially, the color change that occur due to long term use has
direct impact on output of LED devices, and hence careful consideration is required while choosing the
radiation sheet or adhesive.
④ Connecting method
Any solder connecting can not be applied. Please refer below description and the method must be
abided to keep its connect strength.
Please choose the adequate cramping terminal as following. In case of inadequate one, breakage,
strain, bad electrical contact may happen.

Please make sure the following before insert,
* Correctly assembled between electric cable and cramping terminal.
* Any scars, change in shape, foreign objects on the cramping terminal.
Please insert the cramping terminal to till its locking port.
If difficult to insert, do not insert by the strong hand. Please re-check its size and correct insert direction.

Lock plate
Please do not pull the cramping terminal by the strong hand (over 10N) for checking its lock. Connector
and cramping terminal may be broken or its performance decrement in some cases.
Check any foreign object on the connector and cramping terminal after connecting each others to avoid
some impact to insulation resistance and junction resistance.
Please do not entwist the cramping terminal to avoid breaking connector and its soldering part.
Please do not repair the connector yourself.
⑤ How to detach cramping terminal
・ Adjust jig to the connector window part.
・ Carefully press into till a knock and avoid breaking and changing in shape of connector.
・ Pull the cramping terminal carefully with pressing tooling.
Hold up the jig when lock part of cramping terminal slip through on connector window.
Connector may change in shape if keep pressing till cramping terminal is completely pulled out.
・ When pull out cramping thermal, please do not hold only electric wire, or handle it by strong hand.
・ If impossible to detach, please carefully re-check above described method and point again.
・ Detach must be less than 20 times.

⑥ Static electricity
This product is subject to static electricity, so take measures like wearing wrist band to cope with it.
⑦ Drive method
・ Any reverse voltage cannot be applied to LEDs when they are in operation or not. Design a circuit
so that any flow of reverse or forward voltage can not be applied to LEDs when out of operation.
・ Module is composed of LEDs connected in both series and parallel. Constant voltage power
supply runs off more than specified current amount due to lowered VF caused by temperature rise.
Constant current power supply is recommended to drive.
・ Be cautious while putting on/off the power supply, as excess current, excess voltage or reverse
voltage may get injected to the device in some cases.
⑧ Cleaning
Avoid cleaning, since LED device may be effected in some cases by cleaning.
⑨ Color-tone variation
Chromaticity of this product is monitored by integrating sphere right after the operation.
Chromaticity varies depending on measuring method, light spread condition, or ambient temperature.
Please verify your actual conditions before use.
⑩ Safety
・ Looking directly at LEDs for a long time may result in hurting your eyes.
・ In case that excess current (over ratings) is supplied to the device, hazardous phenomena including
abnormal heat generation, emitting smoke, or catching fire can be caused.
Take appropriate measures to excess current and voltage.
・ In case of solder connecting method, there is a possibility of fatigue failure by heat.
・ Please fix the leads in such case to protect from short circuit or leakage of electricity caused
by contact.
・ Please confirm the safety standards or regulations of application devices.
・ Please be careful with substrate edges, that may injure your hands.
⑪ Other cautions
Guarantee covers the compliance to the quality standards mentioned in the specifications,
and usage environment.
In case any quality problems occurred in the application of end-use, details will be separately
discussed and determined between the parties hereto.
