LED-DRIVER-TEST XLamp CXA2011 LED Purpose To check compatibility of Cree CXA2011 with Recom AC/DC LED Drivers, a sample of 4pcs CXA2011 were tested with a sample of 4pcs RACD20‐500 (500mA LED driver), 4pcs RACD30‐700 (700mA LED Driver) and 4 pcs RACD60‐1050 (1A LED Driver). The results for each driver series were averaged to show typical results Conclusions The RACD30‐700 and RACD60‐100 are fully compatible with the CXA2011 LED. The RACD20‐500 works with the CXA2011 LED, but needs 10 seconds for the output current to stabilize. The CXA2011 reaches operating temperature in 20 seconds or less. 2. The CXA2011 datasheet specifies typical forward voltage values of 42.0V @ 500mA, 43.3V @ 700mA and 44.9V@1000mA. In practice, slightly lower voltages were measured (41.7V @ 500mA, 42.2V @ 700mA and 44.2V @ 1050mA.) 3. The output voltage range of the RACD20‐500 is up to 40V ( 43V open circuit voltage). The CXA2011 Forward Voltage is initially outside of range. 4. The output voltage range of the RACD30‐700 is up to 43V ( 48V open circuit voltage). The RACD30‐700 delivers the correct LED current from switch‐on. 5. The output voltage range of the RACD60‐1050 is up to 54V ( 55V open circuit voltage).
