The modules are designed for operation with OTp OPTOTRONIC® ECG.
*) Exceeding maximum ratings for operating and storage temperature will reduce expected life time or destroy the light engine. The temperature of the LED module must be
measured at the tc-point according to EN60598-1 in thermally settled conditions with a temperature sensor. For exact location of the Tc -point see drawing below (marked as Tc1 and
Tc2).

Installation notes
The luminaire manufacturer is responsible for providing the required clearances and creepage distances and
also for the protection against electrical shock, especially for the line and load wires according to EN 60598.
Metal reflector must be earthed.
Distance between the module edge and the nearest conductive path on PrevaLED Linear SLIM module is
3,1mm (around M3 holes) and 2,9mm (around M4 holes) incl. tolerances.
CTI value for the module insulation layer ≥ 600 (basis insulation).
All values are in mm. Red – keep-out area, green – available space for mounting.
Please consider the creepage and clearance distance values according to DIN60598-1.
This value equals 1.5mm for max output voltage of 250V in case of OTpDALI45/220-240/450LS and CTI≥
600 (basis insulation). This value is valid, if the module is used within luminaire of min. IP20 or higher
protection class.
To keep specified creepage distance of 1.5mm following screw and insulation washer standards are
recommended (please see the next page):

If the listed components are used, all requirements of DIN60598-1 are fulfilled.
Clamps and clips can be applied taking into consideration clearance and creepage distances according to
the drawing and the table.

Safety Information

The LED module itself and all its components must not be mechanically stressed.

When handling the module without use of mountain screws avoid excessive force on the cover as it may be separated from the
PCB.

The integrated mounting and locking mechanism on the cover of the module is intended to center and lock a reflector. Excessive
force on this mechanism may cause permanent damage to the module.
The modules are intended for operation only with matching OPTOTRONIC® of OTp series.
To also ease the luminaire/installation approval, electronic control gear for LED or LED modules should carry the CE mark and be
ENEC certified. In Europe the declarations of conformity must include the following standards:
CE: EC 61347-2-13, EN 55015, IEC 61547 and IEC 61000-3-2 - ENEC: 61347-2-13 and IEC/EN 62384.
Also check for the mark of an independent authorized certification institute.

OSRAM OPTOTRONIC® electronic control gear complies to all relevant standards and guarantees safe operation.

Installation of LED modules (with power supplies) needs to be made with regard to all applicable electrical and safety standards.
Only qualified personnel should be allowed to perform installations.

Pay attention to standard ESD precautions when installing the module.


Assembly Information

For optimum cooling a thermally conducting layer should be applied between module and heat sink.

