Additional functions extend this device to a complete System Basic Chip (SBC) for use together with any µC in an automotive environment. A flexible voltage regulator provides either 3.3V or 5V supply with 100mA current capability. It can be switched on by either a (high voltage tolerant) signal (ENABLE) or by a LIN bus wake-up request. The sense input allows to connect an external load transistor in order to extend the current capability according to the particular application needs. The external Resistor Rs can help to reduce the internal power dissipation without compromising low supply voltage operation.
