Features
General Description
˘
˘
˘
˘
˘
The IC is developed for automotive applications. It continuously monitors the status of two groups of switch
contacts connected to supply or ground at inputs IN7-4
or IN3-0, respectively. The input currents are compared
to an internal reference.
˘
˘
Supply voltage range VS 5.25V to 25V
Logic supply voltage range VDD 4.75V to 5.25V
Low standby current (ENB=1) IVS < 20µA
Contact status monitoring by comparing the
switch resistance to an internal reference
High noise immunity
Operating temperature range – 40°C to + 125 ºC
SOIC 20 package
If the switch resistance is less than 2.5kÝ the IC will
switch into an active state low at the outputs and if
the resistance is above 10kÝ the outputs will switch to
high state, with a series resistance assumed to be connected between input INn and the switch for current
limitation in case of over or under voltage.
Applications
Automotive and industrial electronics
Monitor for mechanical switches
˘ Monitor for voltage levels
˘
˘
The input current sources and the tri-state driver outputs are activated by the enable pin ENB (active low).
The tri-state outputs allow a bus configuration of several ICs in parallel.
