With a choice of 8 to 48 protected channels, the Edco RM-CAT6-POE Series easily fits within 1U of rack space and is approprate for most network applications. The three-stage hybrid technology provides protection on all pins of the POE or POE+ channels. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) has become the preferred method in which network equipment is installed and used today. The ability to drive both data and power through the same cable allows cameras and other devices to be mounted in virtually any location. This flexibility simplifies the wiring, but may lead to installations where the connected equipment is at risk.
