Each unit consists of a 100-pair connectorized assembly with 200 quick-clips factory wired to four female 50-position RJ21 telephone connectors. Demarcation is accomplished by using 100 switch-through modules to connect and disconnect service. Connectorized equipment cables are then installed to the 50-position telephone connector on the demarcation assembly. A universal hold-down prevents the accidental unmating of connectors. After installation, each wire can be easily disconnected by removing the switch-through module. This allows you to troubleshoot and isolate individual wires without disturbing the rest of the installation. Cross-connect wires or pairs from the protected connector (R366) are punched down to quick-clip terminals on the R366DEMARC block. The quick-clip is factory-wired to a 50position RJ21 telephone connector. Cross-connect wire routing is provided by distribution rings and fanning strips located on each unit. The quick-clip is protected by a hinged plastic cover. Labels and function identification markers (color-coded dots) are included with each unit. Identification markers are supplied in quantities of five each of the following colors: Purple PBX Red Key Yellow Special Equipment Green Central Office Blue Station Equipment Color-coding makes record-keeping and troubleshooting an easy task. The terminal blocks are mounted with two screws supplied with each assembly on the separately purchased R366 frame. Three R366DEMARC blocks may be mounted on each R366 frame. Application The R366DEMARC is used when a demarcation function is desired.
