Solar DC Safety Switch Provides
the Extra Measure of Protection
• Flexibility of Application
Available in single-pole fused and non-fused versions, this
600Vdc safety switch is available up to 200A with NEMA
3R, 12 and 4X enclosures, making it easy to apply in solar
power applications. Isolated ground terminals (neutral) for
grounded conductors and ground lug for equipment
grounding conductor included.
• Enhanced Finger-Safe Design
Large, clear polycarbonate deadfront is standard on all
models, greatly reducing the possibility of accidental contact
with live parts. It permits positive visual identification of
switch state.
• Meets UL and NEC® Requirements
With multiple poles prewired from the factory with jumpers,
these switches are listed to UL 98 and UL 50 standards.
Marked as suitable for NEC® Article 690 PV applications up
to 600Vdc per UL 1741 requirements. NEC® 690.14.(C) 2
required “PV System Disconnect” label included.
• Flange Handle Operation
Always in contact with the switch mechanism, the flange
operated switch is preferred in most industries.
Lockout/tagout provision accepts up to three padlocks to
increase protection of workers.
• Fast-Acting Fuses Remove Faults
Faster
On fused versions, install Cooper Bussmann® Solar Series
PVS-R Photovoltaic Class RK5 fuses* for quicker fault
clearing on PV systems.

Warns that the switch terminals may
be energized when switch is in the
open position.
Door Interlock
Prevents opening door while energized,
but can be manually overridden for
testing or inspection.

Covers energized parts to provide added
protection against electrical hazards.
Fused Version For Added Protection
High Visibility Padlockable Handle
Fuse clips located on switch center pole
to ensure both clips are de-energized in
OFF position. Meets NEC® 690.16 that
requires isolating the fuse from all
potential supply sources.
Easy to operate with gloves and
accepts up to three padlocks.

Sold separately, PVS-R photovoltaic Class RK5 fuses are available in many ratings to
closely match the load you need to protect. The following ratings will fit this DC safety
switch. All are rated to 600Vdc with interrupting ratings starting at 10kA.
20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200 Amps.
