1. Description and general features
1.1 General
description
PRECI-DIP is proud to present a new type of contact suitable for high current capacity applications. The use of high-conductive Copper alloys for screw-machined contacts
using the clip technology enable a reduction of the electrical resistance by approximately 40% with the same space requirement. Product features such as separate electroplating are all maintained.
1.2 Advantages
Main advantage of this contact is its ability to carry high current with a low temperature
rise. The maximum current can therefore be multiplied by 1.5. These high performances
can be achieved using non-expensive material like brass but with excellent properties.
Body and clip are plated separately and this provides a significant price advantage compared to other traditional contacts with an overall plating.
1.3 Applications
This type of power contact can be used in many different applications such as Mil/Aero applications, power and energy supply applications and railway. Whenever a high current capacity is
required, this contact can be used.
1.4 Optional
versions
Other sizes of contacts can easily be developed using high-conductivity materials. PRECI-DIP has the know-how, machines and resources to design new contacts bodies and
clips for power applications.
PRECI-DIP can also develop connectors using power contacts.
