The lifetime of the 500 PGP-ST series has been increased from 2,000 hours to 3,000 hours, an increase of 50 %. Positive lifetime test results have shown that the products last longer than the 2,000 hours originally specified. With the enhanced devices, existing customers benefit from the knowledge that their applications will last longer than originally designed for, while new customers can use these parts in applications that require a longer guaranteed lifetime. As no change has been made to the design, all other specifications — like case size and ripple current — remain the same.
