The vibration capability of the low-impedance radial series like the 150RMI and 146RTI has been increased from 10 g to 50 g with the creation of improved designs. For SMD products like the 150CRZ, 146CTI, and 160CLA, Vishay can now offer vibration capability up to 30 g. The key element of this improvement is the addition of extra mechanical fixation of the internal capacitor structure to the encasing. The careful implementation of this new process guarantees that the electrical specifications of the products are not impacted, so the low impedance and temperature capability up to 150 °C are maintained. With the enhanced devices, customers benefit from the knowledge that their applications will be able withstand extreme vibration levels in harsh environments such as heavy industrial equipment and under-the-hood automotive environments.
