All correspondence related to this change should reference PCN1025. Products Affected All products. Detail Description of Change Clare, Inc. officially changed the company name to IXYS Integrated Circuits Division Inc. as of July 19, 2012. The company brand on our electronic devices will change from “Clare” to “IXYS.” All labels and documentation used on shipping containers and data sheets on our web site will change from “Clare” to “IXYS.” The existing device part numbers will remain the same. Reason for the Change The change will further integrate IXYS Integrated Circuits Division Inc. into IXYS Corporation through closer technological and business cooperative efforts, while maintaining customer expectations of Clare, Inc. Implementation Date The date for implementation is set for 90 days after notification. Unless otherwise notified or directed, all labels, documentation, and data sheets for our electronic devices manufactured after January 4, 2013, will take on the new company name brand “IXYS” in place of “Clare.” All products manufactured after January 4, 2013, will have an “IXYS” brand (on all applicable products). It should be noted that some product manufactured prior to the January 4, 2013, date may have a “Clare” brand. IXYS Integrated Circuits Division Inc. will continue to stock and ship product with the “Clare” brand for a period not to exceed 2 years, from the January 4, 2013, transition date. Anticipated Impact on Quality and Reliability The change will have no effect on product quality, reliability, or product compliance. Although we will make efforts to minimize the occurrence, it should be noted that customer shipments could contain both brand types (“Clare” and “IXYS”). No individual container packages (tube, tape and reel, etc.) will contain mixed brand product.
