Notice of Release of Shin-G Series Compact AC Geared Motors
Compliant with the Energy Efficiency Standards of China
In China, GB 25958-2010 “Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and values of efficiency grades for
small-power motors” came into effect on July 1, 2011 as energy efficiency standards in China, which apply to
individual and built-in motors manufactured or sold in China. In accordance with these standards, motors,
including those embedded in equipment, exported to China must meet the requirements of grade 3 or higher
energy efficiency specified by the standards.
We will add motors compliant with these Chinese energy efficiency standards to our motor lineup and release
them.
We greatly appreciate your continued support and cooperation with the sales expansion of our products.

 Scope of application of GB 25958-2010
As for our Shin-G Series Compact AC Geared Motors, 10-W or higher output motors are subject to the
standards.
Short-time rated motors are exempted (see Note). Therefore, the reversible type and electromagnetic
brake single-phase type motors are not subject to the standards.
Note: This information is based on our research, and is not clarified in the standards.
Pages 2 through 4 show lists of Shin-G Series Compact AC Geared Motors that meet the energy efficiency
requirements specified by GB 25958-2010.
In consideration of use in China, we selected CCC-compliant models of the single-phase 220-V, 50-Hz type
and the three-phase 380-V, 50-Hz type, which are the power supply voltages and frequencies used in
China, as motors to be made compliant with the energy efficiency standards.
In the list, “” denotes models that are new and compliant with the standards, having a model number
ending with “C” (GGC).
Please note that their characteristics are different from the existing models (with a model number ending
with “GG”). (See page 5.)
At present, the label system does not apply to these standards. Therefore, energy efficiency labels are not
attached to the products, and the energy efficiency grades are not indicated on the nameplates.
