Recommended PCB layout with EMC-Filter PIF001A
Note:
1. Output filtering capacitor C2 is an electrolytic capacitor. It is recommended to use high frequency and low impedance electrolytic
capacitor. For capacitance and current of capacitor please refer to manufacture’s datasheet. Voltage derating of capacitor should be
80% or above. C1 is a ceramic capacitor, it is used to filter high frequency noise. TVS D1 is a recommended component to protect
post-circuits (if converter fails).
2. The varistor R2 protect the device under surge.
3. Recommended fuse parameter for F1 are 1 A / 250 V slow blow. A external input NTC limited the inrush current.
Recommended model is NTC 5D-9. (see figure 1 and table)
4. If common requirement to EMC performance (EN55011 Class A), refer to figure 1.
If higher requirement to EMC performance (EN55011 Class B), refer to figure 2.
C6: X capacitor, recommended values 0.1 μF / 275 V;
C4, C5: Y capacitor, recommended values 2200 pF / 400 V;
L1: common mode choke, recommended inductance is about 10 mH – 30 mH.
