MAGNETIC PRODUCTS March, 2016 Changes to Bourns® Model 5800 Series High Current Chokes Bourns is announcing the following changes to the Model 5800 Series High Current Chokes. 1) Manufacturing Location: Products are being transferred from Huilai, China to Shanghai, China to help streamline the production process. 2) Materials: The core material currently being used on the series will be discontinued. An essentially equivalent replacement material will be used to produce the series. Other materials will be adjusted accordingly, as well. 3) Product Specifications: Marking, terminal lead diameter, operating temperature range, DCR, and Isat/Irated current are changing. For your convenience, Table 1 and 2 list these changes. 4) Packaging & MOQ/Mult: The tape and reel packaging will no longer be available (Table 3 lists the part numbers with tape and reel packaging no longer valid). Bulk packaging becomes the only packaging option. As a result of this change, the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) / Multiples quantity (Mult) will be affected. For your convenience, Table 2 lists the changes.
