The effective date of obsolescence will be May 1, 2012. The 1.0 mm diameter lead option is being obsoleted due to low customer demand. The industry norm for axial and radial leads on mini GDTs is 0.8 mm in diameter. It should be noted that the 0.8 mm diameter lead size is a standard lead size on the 2035, 2036 and 2037 GDTs and is available now. The replacement part for the 1.0 mm diameter leaded mini GDT will be the 0.8 mm diameter leaded version of the same part number. Customers may convert their 1.0 mm diameter leaded product to a 0.8 mm diameter leaded product by changing the lead designator from C to B. For example, 2036-35-C3LF would be replaced by 2036-35-B3LF. A part number to part number cross reference is included - see next page. Last time buy orders will be supported for mini GDTs with 1.0 mm diameter leads. Last time buy orders will be accepted until February 1, 2012. All last time buy orders will be shipped by May 1, 2012. No orders will be accepted after February 1, 2012 and it should be noted that last time buy orders will be non-changeable and non-returnable.
