Before starting the software make sure that the austriamicrosystems USB box is connected to the AS1121 demo
board and a supply (3.1V to 3.6V) is connected to the AS1121 demoboard.
To quickly turn on all LEDs activate the Direct Mode and All On/Off check boxes (marked red in the figure
below). In the box Source Selection the Dot correction and the PWM need to be set to a value unlike 0.

AS1121 - Demo Board Manual
Operational sequence
This demo board comes with the AS1121.
Drive the IC on the demo board only with the recommended settings and values as described in the
datasheet. If not present get the datasheet for the AS1121 from http://www.austriamicrosystems.com.
2.
Place an external resistor in RIref “J” to set the LED current.
3.
Connect a +3.1V to +3.6V power supply (VDD “A” and GND “B”).
4.
The LEDs are supplied via VDD. If necessary remove jumper VCC->VLED “L” and connect a voltage
supply to connector VLED “C”. The output drivers sustain a maximum voltage of +30V at the pin.
5.
Connect the Serial Data Interface via Line IN “D”. For the data format of the serial interface please see
the datasheet of the AS1112.
