Universal Edgewound Power Resistor (EDGU),
Wirewound Resistors, Industrial Power
FEATURES
• Universal Mount EDGU series are a direct
replacement for competitors’ products
• Resistance-alloy ribbon wire is coiled on edge
and supported on specially designed porcelain
insulators
• Open coil construction allows efficient heat
dissipation and easily accommodates reasonable
overloads and surges
• Insulators provide proper turn-to-turn spacing and
insulation from support bars
• Terminals are welded to the resistive wire for a reliable
electrical connection
• Wirewound
• Material categorization: for definitions of compliance
