The list of affected devices (identified by specific ordering part numbers or “OPNs”) has been expanded to reflect the complete list of Si531x and Si532x OPNs for which the improved MSL2 rating now applies. Per the original Bulletin # 1409121, Silicon Labs is pleased to announce that Si531x and Si532x products ship with a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) rating of MSL2. Si531x and Si532x products that have shipped after 24-Jan-2013 have been shipping with a label marked with MSL2. Please refer to the Product Identification section for the complete list of affected devices. Reason: This addendum is being issued to include specific OPNs which are MSL2 qualified. The original Bulletin # 1409121 included a partial listing of affected OPNs. The identified Si531x and Si532x products (see next section) qualify for MSL2 handling. The improved MSL2 rating makes it easier to use the Si531x and Si532x product families during the PCB assembly process. No changes were made to the product.
