April 2004 HCCM484X / HCCM485X Day-Night Camera The new high resolution 1/3" colour/monochrome camera is ideal for applications where optimum 24 hour surveillance is required. The camera provides colour images during daylight hours and as light levels reduce, the camera switches to monochrome mode. Whilst in monochrome mode, the IR-cut filter is removed from the light path to the CCD, giving the camera greater sensitivity in low light, with the added benefit of being responsive to infra red illumination. This range of high sensitivity cameras offer features such as Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Back Light Compensation (BLC), Peak White Inversion (PWI) to eliminate the effect of point sources of light that would normally cause the lens iris to close such as car headlamps and a new concept Auto Tracing White balance (ATW) for accurate colour correction. Available in both low and mains voltage, the colour/mono camera provides the perfect choice for professional installers.
