Description
Features
µClamp® TVS diodes are designed to protect sensitive
electronics from damage or latch-up due to ESD. They
feature large cross-sectional area junctions for conducting high transient currents. This device offers desirable
characteristics for board level protection including fast
response time, low operating and clamping voltage, and
no device degradation.
The µClamp®2417P is in an 8-pin SGP2626N8 package measuring 2.6 x 2.6mm with a nominal height
of 0.60mm. Leads are finished with lead-free NiPdAu.
Each device will protect seven lines operating at +/- 24
volts. This device gives the designer flexibility to replace
multiple single line devices in space constrained applications. µClamp2417P features high surge capability and
may also be used to meet the ESD immunity requirements of IEC 61000-4-2. These devices are ideal for use
in applications such as LCD Televisions, monitors, and
industrial equipment.

Applications Information
Device Connection Options
uClamp2471P is designed to protect up to seven lines
operating at 24V. One pin of the eight pin device is connected to ground for bi-directional operation. The device
is designed to utilize pin 8 for the ground connection.
The TVS diode on this pin has a larger junction area
compared to the other pins. While it is not necessary to
utilize pin 8 as the ground connection, doing so optimizes the device protection performance.
