Mounting Instructions
►Use
►
two 3.0 mm x 0.5 mm thread machine screws to attach
to one of the three 13203CC mounting faces [recommended
torque 5 lbf-in (0.56 N.m)]. DO NOT thread a screw more than
2.5 mm (0.100 inch or 5 turns) into any 13203CC mounting
face as this can damage the gyro and will VOID the warranty.
►A
► light film of oil or silicone grease can be used to enhance
contact between two mounting surfaces.
►A
► locking compound should be used on all threads to prevent
screws loosening due to vibrations.

CAUTION
Improper wiring, particularly Power, may cause
permanent damage and void the warranty.
Pins other than +Vs should not exceed 5 V.
How to Use the 13203CC
►Connect
►
a +8.5 to +36 V DC power source to pin 8, ground
to pin 9.
►Connect
►
a differential or floating input A/D converter
to each signal and signal common pins (pins 1 and 2).
For best results, use a converter with an input impedance
greater than 1 MΩ and common mode rejection ratio
greater than 60 dB. Single-ended converters are not
recommended, but if used, leave pin 2 unconnected to
eliminate ground loops. A positive acceleration (marked
on the accelerometer label) causes a positive change on
the corresponding output.
►Keep
►
cable lengths between the accelerometer and
measuring equipment as short as practical. Use shielded
twisted pair wiring, especially near electric motors or
other noise sources.
►As
► a rule of thumb, sample frequency should be at least
10 times the signal bandwidth when linear interpolation
is used for signal reconstruction. Built-in or external
low-pass filtering can be used to lower the noise floor
and eliminate spurious peak measurements from shortduration shock impulses with insignificant energy content.
