FEATURES
EC 97911-084
Features
• ClearwallTM is a 4-sided Toggle Glazed (TG) curtain wall system
Laws and building and safety codes governing the design and use of glazed
entrance, window, and curtain wall products vary widely. Kawneer does not control
the selection of product configurations, operating hardware, or glazing materials,
and assumes no responsibility therefor.
• Achieves an all-glass monolithic aesthetic in a field glazed; screw spline or shear block fabricated application
• 5/8" (15.9) exterior vertical and horizontal weatherseal sightline
• 2-1/2" (63.5) interior metal sightline
• Innovative toggle assembly captures glass, eliminating field application of structural silicone
• All three glazing options, use the toggle based glass retention system
• ClearwallTM SS (Screw Spline) or SB (Shear Block)
• Toggles capture 1-1/8" (28.6) insulating glass unit, with a recessed spacer
• Inside lite of insulating glass unit is directly engaged by toggles
• No structural silicone required
• ClearwallTM SSI (Screw Spline Interface) or SBI (Shear Block Interface)
• Toggles capture standard 1" (25.4) insulating glass unit attached with shop applied metal interface using structural silicone
• ClearwallTM SSIT (Screw Spline Interface Tape) or SBIT (Shear Block Interface Tape)
• Toggles capture standard 1" (25.4) insulating glass unit attached with shop applied metal interface using 3M™ VHB™ SGT (Structural Glazing Tape)
• Screw spline joinery method allows shop assembly of ladder sections, reducing field labor
• Shear Block joinery and deeper mullions allow for higher free-spans (up to 26' with steel reinforcing)
• ClearwallTM can be supplied fabricated and KD, or in stock lengths
• Offers integrated entrance framing systems
• Two color option
• PermanodicTM anodized finishes in seven choices
• Painted finishes in standard and custom choices
• Comprehensively tested to latest high performance standards
• Full technical support from 3MTM for application of the 3M™ VHB™ SGT (Structural Glazing Tape) for
ClearwallTM SSIT and SBIT

WIND LOAD / DEAD LOAD CHARTS

DEADLOAD CHARTS
Kawneer reserves the right to change configuration without prior notice when deemed
necessary for product improvement.
Horizontal or deadload limitations are based upon 1/8" (3.2), maximum allowable deflection at the center of an
intermediate horizontal member. The accompanying charts are calculated for 1" (25.4) thick insulating glass or 1-3/4"
(44.5) thick glass supported on two setting blocks placed at the loading points shown.

Mullions are designed for deflection limitations in accordance with AAMA TIR-A11 of L/175 up to 13'-6" and L/240 +1/4"
above 13'-6". These curves are for mullions WITH HORIZONTALS and are based on engineering calculations for stress
and deflection. Allowable wind load stress for ALUMINUM 15,152 psi (104MPa), STEEL 30,000 psi (207MPa.). Charted
curves, in all cases are for the limiting value. If the design wind load is determined through the analytical procedures of
ASCE/SEI 7-10 or earlier editions, the load shall be based on the nominal loads used in allowable stress design. A 4/3
increase in allowable stress has not been used to develop these curves. For special situations not covered by these
curves, contact your Kawneer representative for additional information.
Laws and building and safety codes governing the design and use of glazed
entrance, window, and curtain wall products vary widely. Kawneer does not control
