DESCRIPTION
PRODUCT COVERED:
USL, CNL - Type No. 3RV1041, 3RV1042, 3RV1142, 3RV1341, 3RV1342 or
3RV1641, followed by combination of 4 and a letter A through M, followed by A,
B, C or K followed by 1 or 3. May be followed by additional numbers and
letters for manufacturer’s use.
GENERAL:
Type 3RV1041 devices are open type 3-pole manual motor controllers for
starting and stopping motors which may be connected directly across the line.
They are adjusted over a small range as indicated in the setting range table.
They are provided with integral ambient compensated, non replaceable thermal
trip features and are suitable for providing overload protection (Class 10 or
Class 20) and motor disconnect. The trip current is 125 percent of the FLA
shown on dial.
Type 3RV1142-... is similar to Type 3RV1041 series device but with no
motor overload function. The internal overload tripping system does not trip
the controller however it trips the attached trip module for indication to
remote panels.
Type 3RV1341 devices are similar to Types 3RV1041 except the thermal
overload protection is out of function.
Type 3RV1042 devices are similar to Types 3RV1041 except rated for
short-circuit 100 kA at 400 V.
Type 3RV1342 devices are similar to Types 3RV1341 except rated for
short-circuit 100 kA at 400 V.
Type 3RV1641 devices are similar to Types 3RV1041 except the thermal
overload trip is adjusted to Class 5.
These devices may be provided with certified accessories of Type 3RVl9..
including auxiliary switches, bus bar assembly, tripping units and short
circuit indicators.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS
General: The product shall be constructed in accordance with the
following description and photos.
Spacings: Other than noted below, the spacings between bare live parts
of opposite polarity and between bare live parts and grounded metal parts is
not less than 3/8 in (9.5 mm) measured through air or 1/2 in (12.7 mm)
measured over the surface of insulating material.
The spacings between bare live parts and metal parts of an enclosure or
the mounting surface shall be not less than 1/2 in (12.7 mm) through air or
over surface.
Tolerances:

Unless specified otherwise, the indicated dimensions are
