Weidmuller’s relay couplers enable interference-free and
non-interacting signal transmissions in industrial automation
­applications. Quickly mounted, they are compact and can be
­integrated in the tightest of spaces. Weidmuller’s relay couplers
guarantee:
•easy mounting: simply snap onto the mounting rail
•reliable separation of input and output circuits when specified
insulation voltage is adhered to
•simultaneous switching of several loads
•error-free switching of varying loads

the input and output circuits

This extensive spectrum of features means that Weidmuller’s
relay couplers are mainly suitable for separating and conditioning of potentials as well as for multiplying signals in automation
­engineering. The main emphasis is placed on subassemblies
that couple signals potential-free between the field and the
control levels. Based on a wide platform of housings,
Weidmuller has the optimum module for every application.

RCL
Compact power relays: the all-rounders!
Weidmuller’s RCL power relays are always suitable for universal
and optimum utilization when safe isolation between the input
and output is essential. Together with their robust mechanical
features, their excellent contact characteristics enable loads up to
16 A @ 24 VDC or 230 VAC to be switched. The two changeover
versions are suitable to duplicate signals. The all-rounder’s special
design helps prevent contact burn due to inductive loads, and
gold contacts ensure that even small loads such as measurement
signals can be reliably switched.
RCI
The tough ones for industry!
The Weidmuller RCI power relays were designed for use in
industrial applications. Besides their outstanding contact characteristics (these relays can switch power supplies up to 16 A @ 24
VDC or 230 VAC), the robust pins of these relays are ideal for use
on plug-in bases. The optional integral upstream protective circuit
and test button emphasize the industrial nature of these relays.
Two changeover versions can be used for duplicating signals.

Proven industrial relays: the multi-talented relays!
Slim measuring and monitoring relays: the space savers!
Due to their design, Weidmuller’s RSS measuring and monitoring relays require very little space and are ideal for galvanic
separation and conditioning of signals. Thanks to the clearance
and creepage distances attained, these “space savers” can also
be utilized for sub-assemblies with safe isolation. The contact
material and design enable small to medium-sized loads up to
6 A @ 24 VDC or 230 VAC to be switched.
Weidmuller’s industrial relays, RCM, offer an extensive range
of options: there are as many as four changeover contacts available
to multiply signals. In addition, the contacts can be mechanically
operated by means of a lockable test button to simulate switching
statuses during commissioning. To enable monitoring of the contact
float, these “multi-talented” relays are equipped with a mechanical
status indicator – an integrated LED unit to indicate the switching
status is optionally available.

TERMSERIES
RIDERSERIES
Weidmuller’s TERMSERIES has integrated the product features
of the RSS measuring and monitoring relays into the world of
terminal blocks. One or two changeover contacts housed in a
slim 6.4 mm or 12.8 mm design with matching profiles across
the entire product family can be combined as required in the customer’s application and reliably switch loads of up to 8A at 250V.
The customer has the freedom to choose between products with
a fixed voltage input or Weidmuller’s unique multi-voltage input
which allows conditioning signals from 24V up to 230V AC/DC
with just one module. The versions with single and dual changeover contacts as well as screw clamp and tension clamp terminals
have the same profile and can be jumpered with each other with
easy to use cross connections.
The RIDERSERIES series represents the inspired integration of the
Weidmuller RCl power relay; relays with integrated electronics,
optional protective circuits and relay retaining clip are of modular
design and pluggable. In respect of form, the series conforms
to the international standard. Of compact design, it wins over
through proven connection technology, optionally available with
the screw or push-in systems.
The RIDERSERIES range is also available in combination with
Weidmuller’s industrial relay RCM – it then offers characteristics comparable with Weidmuller’s power relay RCL: these
couplers are equally modular in design, and, as well as the
optionally available screw or tension clamp connections, fulfil the
required standard.

Well designed cross-connections
The new jumpers are well designed with their ease of use, good visibility and
universal interconnectivity. They allow to jumper on 5 levels any combination
of 1CO and 2CO versions, screw and tension clamp versions, even across
isolation plates. They can be easily cut to length with pre-marked indentations between the poles and the addition of a tab improves handling,
eliminating the need to grasp the contacts.
Smart Accessories
The isolation plate is a unique accessory
because of its many different uses. It is used
to visibly group signals together, to electrically isolate two modules up to 400V, or to
add labeling for a better overview.

assured in different mounting positions and
