Operating Instructions
Order No.: 8ZX1012-0WD50-1AA1
Applications
3.
Install signalling light with seal from outside of housing.
Field of use
4.
Screw on hexagon nut and tighten.
• When assembled state and the cover fitted, signalling lights 8WD53. complied with a degree of protection of IP 65.
• In order to maintain shock-hazard protection (VDE 0106) on the part of the
terminals, proper connection of the live conductors to these terminals is
essential.
• The signalling lights are constructed and tested in accordance with
EN 60598/VDE 0711 Part 1. To ensure safe operation, the following notes
should be observed:
Installing bulb for signalling light 8WD5 300-1A.
1.
Turn lampholder anticlockwise and remove.
2.
Install bulb in bayonet catch.
3.
Insert lampholder in dome and turn clockwise until fully home.
It is important to note the rated voltages of the signalling
devices. Excessively high voltage will result in damage.
WARNING:
HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE
CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHOCK
AND BURNS.
DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE PROCEEDING
WITH ANY WORK ON THIS EQUIPMENT.
If injury to persons or damage to equipment can occur due to
the failure or malfunctioning of the signalling device, provide
additional safety precautions (limit switches, protective
device, etc.) to prevent this.
General principle of operation
The signalling column converts electrical signals into visible signals:
• steady light, LED steady glow
,
• blinking light
, LED blinking light
• LED rotating flashing light
• stroboscopic light
Connection
1.
Remove cross-head screws and the wire web for strain-relief
device (Fig. IIb).
2.
Feed in cable radially or axially and connect to terminals.
3.
Install wire clevis for strain-relief device and tighten both crosshead screws.
Commissioning
Signalling light 8WD5 300-1A.
Allowance must be made for the fact that power conusmption at power-on is
10 times higher than normal! When driving a control output with short-circuit
breaker or current limiter, the rush-in current peak can result in a fault message.
