DESCRIPTION
The Moore 36V Video Graphic Recorder is a 100 mm recorder that provides a variety of functions in a user-friendly
format. Graphic windows on a vivid display with touch
screen capabilities minimize the learning curve, while delivering information quickly and easily. The 36V is costefficient, using no charts or pens, and no moving parts
means that maintenance costs are minimized.
Configuration is password protected and accessed through
local push buttons, providing simple set-up for both the
display and touch screen. A built-in configuration port offers the time-saving flexibility of transferring configurations between recorders. Configurations can also be
downloaded from a 3.5" flooppy disk or PCMCIA data
card from recorder to recorder.
Information is viewed on a back-lit quarter VGA liquid
crystal display, providing exceptional color and clarity.
Innovative touch screen technology combines fixed and
soft keys, facilitating ease-of-use and minimizing training
requirements. Preconfigured displays provide information
in familiar formats, such as faceplates, contact status graphics, and simulated recorder charts. Any group or point on
the display can be selected by simply touching that part of
the screen. Simple hierarchical windows keep the operator fully informed about plant operation at all times.
Data storage is available for the Moore 36V through a 3.5"
floppy disk or a PCMCIA data card (Type II Flash or Type
III). All data is stored in ASCII format or as a packed binary format depending on the user’s application. Data can
be imported to standard spreadsheet programs for data
analysis.
The Moore 36V boasts a sophisticated alarm package offering four fully configurable alarms per channel. The summary display details the latest 16 alarms from a history of
256 events and shows, summarizing group & tag name,
alarm type, time activated, and time cleared. All data can
be sorted by group or point. Unacknowledged active alarms
display in flashing red, while acknowledged, but still active, alarms show in solid red.
The 36V can accept up to twelve isolated, universal inputs. These can be V, mA, TC, RTD, ohms, and dry contact. Inputs can be monitored via the standard math package
to provide up to 24 derived channels.

The 36V has an update rate of 500 ms and provides accurate data measurement via individual A/D converters.
Stored and viewed date are current. All inputs, alarms,
calculations, totalizers, and other entities are completely
updated twice per second.
Display trend data is stored in 1 Mb of nonvolatile Flash
memory, so no information is lost if there is a power failure. An optional 3 Mb of Flash can expand the trend
memory, allowing, for example, storage of one month of
trend data for 6 points at a 30 second update rate.
The Moore 36V Video Graphic Recorder can be enhanced
with any number of options, including advanced math functions, additional inputs, relay outputs, retransmission current outputs, custom messages, and more. Moreover, the
36V supports MODBUS® communications for integration
with other devices.
