Maxwell Technologies’ 54BCT245 octal bus transceiver features a greater than 100 krad (Si) total dose tolerance. The
54BCT245 is designed specifically for asynchronous communication between data buses. The 54BCT245 transmits data
from the A bus to the B bus or from the B bus to the A bus
depending upon the level at the direction-control (DIR) input.
The output-enable (OE) input can be used to disable the
device so the buses are effectively isolated.
Maxwell Technologies' patented RAD-PAK® packaging technology incorporates radiation shielding in the microcircuit package. It eliminates the need for box shielding while providing
the required radiation shielding for a lifetime in orbit or space
mission. In a GEO orbit, RAD-PAK provides greater than 100
krad (Si) radiation dose tolerance. This product is available
with screening up to Class S.
