The NEW AT24C04C / AT24C08C (1.7V to 5.5V) will now replace all AT24C04B / AT24C08B (1.8V to 5.5V) devices. In order to increase manufacturing flexibility and ensuring long term continuity of supply, Atmel will also manufacture SOIC and TSSOP packages using both Au and Cu bond wire. Atmel reserves the right to ship devices with either Au or Cu. The new packaged devices offered with the AT24C04C / AT24C08C are as the following: 8-lead JEDEC SOIC (SS): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/NiPdAu plating. 8-lead TSSOP (X): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/NiPdAu plating. 8-lead UDFN (MA): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/NiPdAu plating. 8-lead PDIP (P): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/Matte Tin plating 5-lead SOT23 (ST): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/Matte Tin plating. 8-ball VFBGA (C): ROHS compliant/Lead-Free/Halogen-Free/SnAgCu balls. Atmel will also support die sales shipment in Wafer Form, Tape and Reel and Bumped Wafers Identification Method to Distinguish Change: NEW part numbers have been created by adding a “C” to the suffix of the catalogue part number: The AT24C04B and AT24C08B shall be identified as the AT24C04C and AT24C08C respectively.
