KEY FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
The output response is fast for
dynamic load changes using a high
bandwidth error amplifier control loop.
Power
conversion
efficiency
is
maximized with low RDSON of the
MOSFET switches and small regulator
quiescent current.
The LX13045A features include:
OVP monitoring at the feedback pin for
+110% threshold detection; PGOOD
indicator to externally signal when
VOUT is within ±5% of nominal, and
Thermal shutdown. The Current limit
monitors the Switch pin load on a cycle
by cycle basis for rapid protection
during fault conditions.
The 6 pin MO-229 package provides
a small form factor with excellent
power dissipation capability.

The LX13045A operates as a
Current Mode, Synchronous 1.3MHz
PWM Buck regulator with an
adjustable output voltage. It provides
up to 2 amps of DC current with no
minimum load requirement.
Few
external components are necessary
since the MOSFET switches and
compensation components are internal
to the IC.
The LX13045A operational supply
voltage range covers 4.5V to 6V.
During start-up an internal UVLO
keeps the output off until VIN reaches
3.7V, VOUT is then ramped in the soft
start mode to limit the supply inrush
current.
Tight
output
voltage
regulation is achieved with the 800mv,
±2% reference to program VOUT from
800mV to 90% of VIN.
