CHEMETRON FL SERIES FIXED TEMPERATURE HEAT DETECTOR Description The FL Series fixed temperature heat detectors consist of a white plastic base containing a switch mechanism, wiring terminals, and a unique three disc heat collector. Two sections of the heat collector are soldered together by a fusible eutectic alloy, which, at rated temperature, will cause the lower disc to drop away, moving a plunger which causes the switch to operate. After operation, the black tip of the plunger is clearly visible. It will remain in the alarm condition until a new heat collector is installed. Circuit continuity and switch operation can be tested at any time by removing the heat collector. Description Features • Replaceable fusible element.
