The switch offers eight optical through paths and one protection path. Any of its eight through path can be switched to the protection path. Designed for network link or equipment protections, it measures only 100x45x11mm in size and features low IL, wide wavelength range, and a fast switching speed. It also provides one update port for cascading two (1:8) to become one (1:16) switch. Latching/non-latching options, built-in position monitors, and standard 5V DC driving voltage makes it easy for system integration. Oplink provides customized design to meet special control and applications. Also, Oplink offers modular assemblies that integrate other components to form a full function module or subsystem.
