Available in 5, 8 and 16 port versions the hubs auto-negotiate between 10 Base T and 100 Base TX operation. The 4 port version only works as either all ports 10 Base T or all ports 100 Base TX. Each unit is a useful desktop size and supplied complete, where necessary, with a cable management bar. The units can be supplied as Master units with the switch module (DFE-260S) already installed as with models DFE-2616X and DFE-2624X. With these hubs each segment is transparent; networks can mix Ethernet and Fast Ethernet connections to a hub. Client hubs without the switch fitted (DFE-2624 & DFE-2616) can only work at either of the network speeds - 10 Mbps OR 100 Mbps.
