The unit is supplied with a bridge between the terminals Z1-Z2. An
external potentiometer (10 kW) is connected to the same terminals: the
bridge has to be removed and the middle time setting knob on the unit
must be set to minimum. Care should be taken to make sure that the
supply lines to the remote potentiometer are not interrupted; if they are,
no running times can be started. The bridge Z1-Z2 must always be
established if a remote potentiometer is not connected.
