Alcatel 1912 DMO 2.5 Gbit/s Receiver Module InGaAs PIN Pre-Amplifier Description Designed to provide high optical performance for ITU-T G.652 standard optical fiber and ITU-T G.653 shifted dispersion fiber. The Alcatel 1912 DMO consists of a gold-plated, 14-pin, hermetic package, containing a reliable InGaAs PIN photodiode and a custom designed pre-amplifier. A thermistor is mounted in thermal contact with the PIN metallic support, allowing a precise evaluation of the device’s temperature. Optical signal input is via a single mode optical fiber, coupled to a 70 µm diameter InGaAs PIN. Included is an input power monitor, for applications such as loss of signal alarm generation. The Alcatel 1900 DMO module family includes field-proven, reliable, InGaAsP PIN or APD photodetector with silicon pre-amplifier in an hermetically sealed package.
