7200 SERIES IDU ADDRESSABLE INTERFACE UNIT DESCRIPTION The Addressable Interface Unit (IDU) is designed for retrofit purposes and provides the 7200 Series Fire Alarm Control panel with the ability to communicate with FCI FC-ID Series addressable monitor or control modules. It mounts in any available module position. The IDU provides two (2) signaling line circuits, each of which can be wired similar to NFPA Style 6 (Class “A”) or Style 4 (Class “B”). Each of these circuits can address up to 60 points, (50 monitor modules and 10 control modules for a maximum of 120 points per IDU. Up to five (5) IDU units can be accommodated by one 7200 Series control panel. Signal processing for alarm verification is also available to provide a greater immunity to false alarms. The IDU signaling line circuits each have a red “ALARM” LED and a yellow “TROUBLE” LED, along with a circuit “DISCONNECT” user switch, for individual circuit control and programming functions. A pluggable terminal block is provided with each unit for the connection of field wiring. This block will accommodate wire sizes up to 12 AWG. The IDU will accommodate FCI model CPD-ID, 301ID, 2W-ID, RIM-U, SLM, RZM, RSM, RZST and EOL-E monitor modules, or CPM control modules. The IDU unit occupies a full-size space in the cabinet.
