5KP SERIES
GLASS PASSIVATED JUNCTION TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SUPPRESSOR
VOLTAGE-5.0 TO 180 Volts
5000 Watt Peak Pulse Power
FEATURES
MECHANICAL DATA
The devices listed in this document take the
• Glass passivated junction
• 5000W Peak Pulse Power
capability on 10/1000 µs waveform
• Glass passivated junction
• Low incremental surge resistance
• Excellent clamping capability
• Repetition rate (duty cycle): 0.05%
• Fast response time: typically less than
1.0 ps from 0 volts to BV
• Typical IR less than 1µA above 10V
following physical form:
Diameter
Height
5KP TVS Cells: Assembled with 220mm Hex Die
Max. Height 2.5mm, 0.100 Inch
Max. Dia 7.6mm, 0.300 inch
All dice are passivated either glass or SiO2
These cell TVS devices are specially designed for TVS
modules and hybrid circuit applications. The benefit
of this package is less space and easier assembly
Users should be cautioned that the assembled
modules must be properly protected to avoid the
glass or Si02 passivated die damage.
DEVICES FOR BIPOLAR APPLICATIONS
For Bidirectional use C or CA Suffix for types 5KP5.0 thru types 5KP180 (e.g. 5KP5.0C, 5KP180CA)
Electrical characteristics apply in both directions.
MAXIMUM RATINGS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Ratings at 25°C ambient temperature unless otherwise specified.
