The pot core has found wide application in all types of inductive components. The core configuration provides a high
degree of self-shielding. It also facilitates gapping to enhance its utility for a variety of magnetic designs.
-The part number is for a single core.
-Pot cores can be supplied with the center post gapped to a mechanical dimension.
-Pot cores can also be gapped to an Al value. These parts will be supplied as sets. Figure 1 pot core sets that have
an airgap in one of the core halves will be marked with a white marking on the backwall. Pot core sets that are
gapped symmetrically will not be marked.
-AL value is measured at 10 kHz, at < 10 gauss.
-The pot cores shown in Figure 1 are in conformance with IEC 60133.

-Explanation of Part Numbers: Digits 1&2 = product class, 3&4 = material grade, 5&6 = core OD in mm's, 7&8 = height of
assembled cores in mm's, 9&10 = 21 for ungapped core halves.

The column H(Oe) gives for each bead the calculated dc bias field in oersted for 1 turn and 1 ampere direct current. The actual dc H field in
the application is this value of H times the actual NI (ampere-turn) product. For the effect of the dc bias on the impedance of the bead material,
see figures 18-23 in the application note How to choose Ferrite Components for EMI Suppression.
